Director Theresa Johansson leads Virginia Tech's Global Education Office in its mission to strengthen the university’s global engagement and support the development of our students into globally competent citizens. The office oversees study abroad, international partnerships, and international risk management, and spearheads Global@Home efforts.
Johansson received her M.A. in Italian Language and Literature from Middlebury College and her bachelor’s in Political Science from Wake Forest University. She came to Virginia Tech in early 2015, after 27 years as part of the teaching faculty and the Reves Center for International Studies at the College of William & Mary.
