This MIG Open Meeting invites all international educators, advocates, and stakeholders who support black and multicultural professionals to learn about the history and purpose of BMcPIE. The agenda will include an overview of the organization and its goals for 2025 and beyond. BMcPIE officers and leaders will be present to answer questions and discuss hot international education topics. This important meeting is critical to NAFSA's mission for the diversity and inclusion of ideas and experiences alike, and NAFSA members are welcome to assist in planning the future of this MIG.

More information/updates on the BMcPIE Member Interest Group will be provided to the attendees. As international educators, it is our responsibility to help underrepresented students improve their foreign language proficiency, establish and broaden their professional networks, and gain/improve cultural competency.
Discuss our accomplishments this year in expanding underrepresented students' access to options for studying abroad.
Evaluate whether lack of participation in study abroad programs have connections with other factors including administration and faculty support, affordability/scholarship funding, program marketing and/or student outreach efforts
Instill in ourselves a sense of responsibility and commitment for fostering the increase of diverse global leaders in our respective institutions and organizations.
